Cake Thief by Laura Torres | Location: Washington, D.C. | This painting captures a special moment in my transition moving from Austin, Texas to Washington, D.C. As I was sitting at a cafe and starting to enjoy a delicious slice of cake with my friends, a little House Sparrow came along and began eating our cake! We only got a couple of bites in before he completely took over our meal. I was both amused and impressed...D.C. has some bold birds!
